How to Use Google Meet with TidyCal
TidyCal automatically generates Google Meet links for your bookings when you connect your Google Calendar and enable Google Meet as a location. This requires the Individual Plan or Agency Plan for auto-created meeting URLs. Your primary calendar must be a Google Calendar.
Prerequisites
- Individual Plan ($29) or Agency Plan ($79) for auto-created meeting links
- A Google Calendar connected to TidyCal
- Google Calendar set as your Primary Calendar
- Your TidyCal email must have Make changes and manage sharing permission on the Google Calendar

Step 1: Connect your Google Calendar
- In the sidebar, go to Integrations > Calendars, or visit tidycal.com/integrations/calendars.
- Click Add Google account and sign in with your Google email.
- Grant TidyCal the required permissions.
Step 2: Set your primary calendar to Google
- On the Integrations > Calendars page, find your connected Google Calendar.
- Click Set primary next to it.
Your primary calendar must be a Google Calendar for Google Meet links to be generated.

Step 3: Enable Google Meet on your booking type
- Go to Booking types in the sidebar.
- Click to edit the booking type you want to configure.
- In the booking type editor, scroll to the Locations section.
- Select Google Meet from the location dropdown. Click Add another location if you need multiple options.
- Click Save at the top of the editor.
Google Meet links will now be automatically added to calendar events when clients book.

Troubleshooting
Google Meet links not generating
- Verify your primary calendar is a Google Calendar. If it is set to Outlook or Apple, Google Meet links cannot be created.
- Ensure your TidyCal email matches your Google account email.
- Check that Google Meet is enabled in your Google Workspace Admin Console (if using Workspace).
- Confirm you are on the Individual Plan or Agency Plan.
Permission issues
- Your TidyCal email must have Make changes and manage sharing access on the Google Calendar. Follow Google's guide to grant access.
- Try disconnecting and reconnecting your Google Calendar.

What happens if I switch my primary calendar to Outlook?
Google Meet links will stop being generated. Your primary calendar must be a Google Calendar for Google Meet to work.
Can I offer both Zoom and Google Meet?
You can enable multiple video conferencing options on a booking type. The client or the system will determine which link is generated based on your primary calendar and connected services.
Does Google Meet work on the Free Plan?
Auto-created meeting URLs require the Individual Plan or Agency Plan. On the Free Plan, you can manually add a Google Meet link as a custom location.
