How to Use Google Meet

Want to automatically include Google Meet links in your bookings? Follow these steps to connect your Google Calendar and enable Google Meet integration in TidyCal.


Steps to Set Up Google Meet in TidyCal


  1. Connect Your Google Calendar to TidyCal

    To enable Google Meet video conferencing:

    • Log in to your TidyCal dashboard
    • Click the menu icon (☰) in the top-right corner
    • Go to Integrations > Calendars
    • Click Add Google account and login using your Google email
    • Make sure that your TidyCal email address has Make changes and manage sharing

      This step is required to sync events and generate Google Meet links. Your TidyCal account email must have full access permissions granted within your Google Calendar settings. Not sure? Follow the steps here.

  1. Set Your Primary Calendar to Google
    • Stay on the Integrations > Calendars page
    • Find your connected Google Calendar
    • Click Set primary next to it

      TidyCal uses your primary calendar to create video conference links, so this step is essential. Your primary calendar must be a Google calendar for Google Meet to generate links.


  1. Enable Google Meet on Your Booking Type
    • Go to the Booking Types tab in your dashboard
    • Click Edit next to the booking type you’d like to update
    • In the left-side menu, click Details
    • Scroll to the Locations section
    • Under Video conferencing options, check the box for Google Meet


  2. Save Your Booking Type
    • Click the Update booking type button in the top-right
    • Google Meet links will now be automatically added to your calendar events


Important:

  • Your Primary Calendar must be a Google Calendar for Google Meet links to be created
  • Your TidyCal email address must match your Google account email to be recognized as the host
  • If you use Google Workspace, make sure Google Meet is enabled in your Admin Console
  • If you later switch your Primary Calendar to a non-Google calendar (like Outlook or Apple), Google Meet links will stop generating
