Upgrading Your TidyCal Plan
Learn how to upgrade your TidyCal plan from Free to Individual ($29) or Agency ($79), or upgrade from Individual to Agency for just $50. Upgrades are available via Stripe on tidycal.com or through AppSumo if you purchased there.
TidyCal Plans
TidyCal offers three lifetime plans with a one-time payment (no recurring fees):

How to Upgrade (Stripe Purchase)
If you created your TidyCal account directly on tidycal.com (not through AppSumo), you can upgrade with a one-time Stripe payment.
Upgrading from the Free Plan
- Go to the Pricing page
- Choose the plan you want: Individual Plan ($29) or Agency Plan ($79)
- Click the "Buy now" button on the plan card
- Complete the Stripe checkout with your payment details
- After payment, you will be redirected to Settings → Your plan with a confirmation message
- Your upgraded features are available immediately

You can also start the upgrade from Settings → Your plan, which links you to the Pricing page.
Upgrading from Individual to Agency Plan
If you are on the Individual Plan and want to upgrade to the Agency Plan, you only pay the $50 difference (not the full $79).
- Go to Settings → Your plan
- Click the "Upgrade to Agency Plan" button
- The Stripe checkout will show the upgrade price of $50.00
- Complete the payment
- Your account is upgraded to the Agency Plan immediately
Free Trial (Agency Plan)
Not ready to commit? Free Plan users can start a 30-day free trial of the Agency Plan with no credit card required.
- Go to the Pricing page
- On the Agency Plan card, click "Start free trial"
- You will have full access to all Agency Plan features for 30 days
- After the trial ends, your account reverts to the Free Plan unless you purchase
How to Upgrade (AppSumo Purchase)
If you purchased TidyCal through AppSumo, you must upgrade through AppSumo (not Stripe). Here is how:
- Make sure your AppSumo license has been activated. If not, use the "Actions" dropdown on the Products page of your AppSumo account to activate it
- Go to the Products page of your AppSumo account
- Click the "Actions" dropdown next to TidyCal and select "Change Plan"
- Review your current plan and click the button for the plan you want to upgrade to
- Add your billing information and select "Next: Payment"
- Choose your preferred payment method
- Confirm your selection by clicking "Confirm change"
You can also find a direct link to your AppSumo upgrade page in Settings → Your plan, where the "Upgrade" button will link you to AppSumo.
After Your Upgrade
Once your upgrade is complete:
- All features for your new plan are available immediately
- Your purchase appears in the Purchase History in Settings → Your plan
- A Stripe receipt is available via the Invoice link in your purchase history
- If you had an active free trial, it ends when you purchase a plan

Troubleshooting
I purchased via AppSumo but the "Buy now" button shows on the Pricing page
If you see "Buy now" instead of "Upgrade at AppSumo," your AppSumo license may not be activated. Go to the Products page of your AppSumo account and activate your license first.
I see "You are already on this plan or a higher plan"
This means you already have the plan you are trying to purchase, or a higher-tier plan. Check your current plan in Settings → Your plan.
My payment did not go through
- Verify your card details and try again
- Try a different payment method
- If the issue persists, contact support at support@tidycal.com
I upgraded but my new features aren't showing
- Refresh the page or log out and back in
- Check Settings → Your plan to confirm your plan was updated
- If your plan still shows as Free, contact support at support@tidycal.com
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the upgrade a one-time payment or a subscription?
All TidyCal plans are one-time lifetime payments. There are no recurring charges or subscriptions.
Can I get a refund after upgrading?
Yes. Stripe purchases include a 60-day refund window. You can request a full refund or downgrade from your Settings → Your plan page. See Refunds for details.
I purchased on AppSumo. Can I upgrade via Stripe instead?
No. If you have an AppSumo license, you must upgrade through AppSumo. The Stripe checkout is only available to users who registered directly on tidycal.com.
Why is the Individual to Agency upgrade only $50?
The $50 upgrade price reflects the difference between the Individual Plan ($29) and Agency Plan ($79). You only pay the difference, not the full Agency price.
