Use TidyCal AI to automatically generate professional booking type descriptions and pre-meeting questions, saving time when setting up your booking pages.

Overview

TidyCal includes AI-powered content generation that helps you create compelling booking type descriptions and relevant pre-meeting questions. The AI analyzes your booking type title and optional context to generate tailored content.

Plan requirement: AI features are available on the Individual Plan and Agency Plan only.

Generating Booking Type Descriptions

1. Go to Booking types in the sidebar navigation.
2. Create a new booking type or click an existing one to edit.
3. Enter a title for your booking type (minimum 3 characters).
4. In the description field, click the "Generate with AI" button.



5. The button will change to "Generating..." while the AI creates your description.
6. A 2-3 sentence professional description will be generated and inserted into the field.
7. Edit the generated text as needed, then save your booking type.

Note: Descriptions are limited to 800 characters and may include basic HTML formatting (bold, italic, paragraphs).

Generating Pre-Meeting Questions

1. In the booking type editor sidebar, expand Advanced, then click Questions.
2. Click "Generate questions with AI".



3. The AI will generate exactly 3 questions tailored to your booking type.
4. Each question includes a suggested answer type (Short text, Paragraph, Radio, Checkbox, Date, or Phone number).
5. Review the generated questions and remove or modify any that do not fit your needs.

Note: If you already have questions, the AI will avoid generating duplicates.

Tips for Best Results

• Use a descriptive title: The more specific your booking type title, the better the AI output. "30-Minute Marketing Strategy Consultation" produces better results than "Meeting".
• Add context: If you have already filled in the duration, price, or partial description, the AI uses this context to generate more relevant content.
• Edit after generating: AI-generated content is a starting point. Customize it to match your voice and specific requirements.
• Regenerate if needed: Click the button again to get a new variation if the first result does not fit.

Plan Requirements

Free Plan users will see the message "You must upgrade to access AI features" when attempting to use AI generation.

Troubleshooting

AI button shows upgrade message

• AI features require the Individual Plan or Agency Plan. Upgrade from Settings → Your plan.

Error about title

• Enter a title with at least 3 characters before clicking the generate button.

Generation taking too long

• AI generation may take up to 30 seconds. If it times out, try again.
• If the issue persists, contact support@tidycal.com.

Can I edit AI-generated content?

Yes. Generated descriptions and questions are fully editable. The AI provides a starting point that you can customize.

Can I use AI for team booking types?

Yes. You can generate AI content for your own booking types and for team booking types where you are a member.
