How do I set different availability for each day of the week?

TidyCal lets you set different available hours for each day of the week, so you can customize your schedule to match your real availability. Configure per-day hours directly within each booking type's availability settings.

Prerequisites

  • A TidyCal account (any plan)
  • At least one booking type created

Setting your weekly availability

  1. Go to Booking types in the sidebar.
  2. Click to edit the booking type you want to configure.
  3. In the editor sidebar, click Availability.
  4. You will see a weekly schedule with days listed from Sunday to Saturday. Each day shows its time slots.

  6. To change hours for a specific day, click on the time fields next to that day and enter your desired start and end times.
    • Example: Set Monday to 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM.
  7. Click Save at the top of the editor.

Adding multiple time blocks in a single day

Need a lunch break? You can add multiple separate time blocks for any day.

  1. Next to the day you want to edit, click the + (plus) icon.
  2. A new time slot row appears for that day.
  3. Set two or more distinct availability windows.
    • Example: Wednesday from 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM and 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM. Clients can only book during these windows.

Removing availability for a day

To make yourself unavailable on a specific day (e.g., Saturday), click the x icon next to the time slot for that day. This removes all availability for that entire day.

Troubleshooting

Available times not showing for clients

  • Make sure the booking type is using its own availability schedule, not the Default Availability.
  • Check that you have not set conflicting restrictions (e.g., minimum notice too high, or booking window too narrow).
  • Verify your timezone is correct in Settings > Preferences.

Overlapping time slots

  • If two time blocks overlap on the same day, TidyCal merges them. Ensure your blocks do not overlap unless intended.
