How do I set different availability for each day of the week?

Setting custom availability for each day of the week is essential for managing your schedule effectively. TidyCal allows you to easily define what hours you are available for bookings on any day.


Setting Your Weekly Availability


  1. From your TidyCal Dashboard, navigate to the Booking Types section in the top menu.
  2. Locate the Booking Type you wish to edit and click on it.
  3. In the booking type editor, scroll down to the When are you available for bookings? section and select Weekly. This is where you control your weekly availability.
  4. You will see a list of days from Sunday to Saturday. By default, your hours may be the same for multiple days.

    To set a custom time for a specific day, simply click on the time slots next to that day. You can edit them directly.

    • Example: To set your hours on Monday to 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM, click on the time field for Monday and enter 9:00am - 12:00pm

Adding Multiple Time Blocks in a Single Day


What if you want to work in the morning and the afternoon, but not during lunch? You can add multiple, separate time blocks for any day.

  1. Next to the day you want to edit (e.g., Wednesday), click the '+' (plus) icon.
  2. A new time slot will appear for that day.

    You can now set two or more distinct availability windows.

    • Example: For Wednesday, you could have one slot from 9:00am - 12:30pm and a second slot from 2:00pm - 5:00pm . Your clients will only be able to book you during these specific times.

Removing Availability for a Day


If you don't want to be available on a certain day (e.g., Saturday), simply click the 'x' icon next to the time slot for that day to remove it entirely. This will mark you as unavailable for the entire day.

Once you have configured your weekly schedule, remember to click the Save Booking Type button at the bottom of the page.
