How do I change the language of my booking page?

Change your TidyCal booking page language in Settings → Preferences → Language. Bookers then see your pages and emails in any of 40 language options.

Overview

TidyCal's built-in booker-facing text — buttons, labels, messages and emails — can be shown in another language. You choose one language for your whole account, and everyone who books with you sees it. It is available on every plan, including the Free Plan.

The language only changes what bookers see. Your own TidyCal app stays in English.

How to Change Your Booking Page Language

  1. Go to Settings in the sidebar and click Preferences.
  2. Open the Language dropdown and pick a language. Languages are listed alphabetically.
  3. Click Save changes.

The change applies to every booking type on your account at once. There is no separate language setting per booking type, and bookers cannot switch the language themselves.

What Bookers See in Your Language

  • Pages: your booking page, booking type pages (including the reschedule page), the booking confirmation page, date polls, review pages, your store and product pages, the page a guest opens from a booking link you email them, and the page where subscribers manage a subscription.
  • Team booking pages: these use the team owner's language setting.
  • Emails to bookers: confirmation, reschedule, cancellation, reminder and approval emails, automated emails, review requests and payment recovery emails.
  • Calendar events: the text TidyCal adds to the calendar event for a booking.
  • Right-to-left languages: with Arabic or Hebrew selected, booking pages are laid out right to left.
  • Week start: the date calendar on your booking page starts the week on the day that is usual for the language — for example, Sunday for English and Monday for English (UK).

What Stays in English or as You Wrote It

  • Your TidyCal app and the notification emails TidyCal sends to you and your team hosts.
  • Anything you write yourself — booking type titles and descriptions, booking questions, your page description, and custom email or calendar invite text. TidyCal does not translate these, so write them in your bookers' language.
  • Your Website (landing) page, if you use the Website page type instead of the Classic booking page. Your booking type pages still use your language. See How to customize my TidyCal profile and booking page URL.

Available Languages

Arabic, Armenian, Bulgarian, Catalan, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, English (UK), Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Malay, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovakian, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian (listed as “Ukranian”) and Vietnamese.

English (UK) uses the same text as English; the difference is that the booking calendar starts the week on Monday.

Troubleshooting

My booking page is still in English

  • Check that you clicked Save changes after picking the language, then reload your booking page.
  • For a team booking page, the team owner needs to change the language on their own account.
  • If you use the Website page type, that page stays in English. Your booking type pages are translated.

Some text is in my language and some is not

My own notification emails are in English

  • This is expected. The language setting changes what bookers see; emails TidyCal sends to you and your team hosts are always in English.

My language is not listed

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I change the language on the Free Plan?

Yes. The language setting is included on every plan: Free, Individual Lifetime, Pro and Agency Lifetime.

Can I use a different language for each booking type?

No. There is one language setting per account, and it applies to all your booking types. Text you write yourself, such as a booking type's title and description, can be in any language.

Can my bookers choose their own language?

No. Bookers see the language you selected under Settings → Preferences → Language.

Why does my booking calendar start the week on Monday?

The first day of the week follows your language. English starts on Sunday; English (UK) and many other languages start on Monday.
