TidyCal Calendar Not Showing Dates (How to Fix Missing Availability)
If your TidyCal booking page isn’t showing any available dates — sometimes called “missing availability” or “dates not showing” — don’t worry. This usually happens because of calendar settings or integration issues. Here’s how to quickly fix it and make your dates show again.
Login to Your Account
- Log into your TidyCal account
- Click Edit on the target booking type.
STEP #1
Adjusting Time Blocks
Time Blocks are crucial because they define the availability for your bookings. If your Time Blocks are too short, your dates might not show up.

Time Blocks must be enough to accommodate the total time of Duration and Buffer, otherwise, your dates will be missing.
- On the Booking Type, click Edit
- Click Expand all on the side menu
- Take note of it the duration
- Scroll down to the Availability section
- Is the duration of the window you have set in the time block enough?
- The time block and duration should align.
- Save the changes
Conflict
The Time Block is too short, causing dates or time slots not to appear on your booking calendar.
Solution
Ensure the total time needed, including Duration and Buffer, is less than the length of your Time Block. For example, if you have a 30-minute meeting with a 10-minute buffer, your Time Block should be at least 40 minutes.
STEP #2
Managing Overrides
Unavailable Times or overrides are specific slots where you don’t want to receive bookings. These settings may inadvertently hide dates on your calendar. This option appears below your time blocks when weekly schedules is selected (instead of Specific Dates).

- On the Booking Type, click Edit
- Click Availability of the side menu
- Scroll down past the Weekly Booking time blocks
- Right below it is the Unavailable Dates settings
- Review the dates and times you have entered here
- If your target date is here, delete it
- Save the changes
Overrides are a feature available when Weekly Bookings option is selected, and not Specific Dates
Ensure that your target dates are not entered as Overrides
Overrides is a booking type setting that can be found right below the Time Blocks
Conflict
Unavailable Times are set for specific dates or times, causing those dates to be hidden on your calendar.
Solution
Review and adjust your Unavailable Times settings to make sure they accurately reflect when you are not available. If dates are inadvertently blocked, remove or modify those entries to show available dates.
Step #3
Check the Availability Restrictions
There are two critical settings in TidyCal that may control how dates appear.

In 'Attendees can book a maximum of' you may enter the number of days TidyCal will show your availability starting from the current date.
It's like telling TidyCal, I will show my availability that number of days into the future everyday.
The number you enter here will determine how many minutes or hours your availability won’t show to the public starting from the current how.
It's like telling TidyCal, I don't want to accept new bookings that number of minutes or hours from now.
- On the Booking Type, click Edit
- You'll find these in Details and Availability sections
- There you will find Require minimum booking notice and Attendees can book a maximum of
- Make the necessary adjustments in the values of each field
- Save the changes
A conflict happens when the time for Require minimum booking notice of is longer than Attendees can book a maximum of resulting in no availabilities.
For example: This example below will not show any availability. To interpret the settings below, the user is open to accept bookings 3 days in advance - but will not accept new bookings that are only 72 hours away.

Conflict
Conflicting settings between Attendees can book a maximum of and Require minimum booking notice of can cause dates not to show.
Solution
Ensure that the Require minimum booking notice of setting is shorter than the Attendees can book a maximum of setting. For example, if users can book 60 days in advance, ensure that bookings can be made at least within an hour or a day from the current date.
Step #4
Reviewing Maximum Bookings
The Maximum Bookings feature limits the number of bookings within a specific time frame. If set too low, it could be why your dates are missing.
This limit applies only to the Booking Type it is set on to. Once the limit is reached, dates will stop showing without prior notice.

- On the Booking Type, click Edit
- Click Availability on the side menu
- Scroll down a little until you reach Set Maximum Bookings
- Carefully decide what to enter here.
- Set if limit should be applied daily, weekly or monthly.
- Consider unchecking this option to keep all dates visible, if you have not carefully planned for this setting
- Save the changes
Conflict
The Maximum Bookings limit is set too low, preventing dates from appearing once the limit is reached.
Solution
If you don’t need to limit bookings, leave the Maximum Bookings option unchecked. If you do need a limit, make sure it aligns with your availability and business needs, so that dates aren’t unnecessarily hidden.
Step #5
Preview & Common Gotchas
The most common cause of this type of issue is when calendar events in the external calendars are blocking availability. TidyCal syncs with external calendars to prevent double bookings.
All Read-enabled calendars in your Integrations page are checked for conflicting events.

If TidyCal spots an event in any of the read-enabled calendars a calendar event, it will block it on TidyCal.

- Log into TidyCal.com
- Click the hamburger icon
- Select Integrations
- Look for calendars that are read-enabled
- Click the name of calendar to view what events are synced with TidyCal
- Look for the event blocking your target date, and take note
- Log into the integrated external calendar
- Depending on the type of calendar app you're using, do these to free up the date or time

Conflict
Integrated calendars have events marked as ‘Busy,’ blocking dates in TidyCal, even when you’re available.
Solution
Go into your external calendar and make necessary changes to events.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why are no dates showing on my TidyCal booking page?
Most often this happens when Time Blocks are missing or too short, your meeting Duration + Buffer don’t fit inside them, or Busy events are blocking availability from your connected calendars.
I don't want this particular booking type to get blocked for conflicts.
Booking types can each be set to ignore external calendar conflicts. Just enable the option. While in the settings of a booking type, click Avalability and scroll down a bit to availability restrictions.
My Google/Outlook calendar is connected but the booking page is still blank — what should I check?
Look for all-day Busy events, Out of Office entries, or recurring holds in your external calendar. These will block availability even if the calendar connection itself is correct.
Why do some dates show but not others?
This usually means those dates overlap with Busy events on your external calendar, or you’ve set availability only for specific days instead of weekly recurring time blocks.
Where do I edit these settings in TidyCal?
Go to Dashboard → Booking Types → Click Edit to edit booking types.
