How to connect multiple calendars to TidyCal (Pro Plan)
If you manage different schedules (for example, a work calendar and a personal calendar), you need TidyCal to check all of them for conflicts to ensure you're never double-booked. The ability to connect and check multiple calendars is a feature of our Pro and Agency plans.
How It Works: Primary vs. Checked Calendars
TidyCal uses a simple but powerful system:
- Primary Calendar: This is the main calendar where TidyCal will add new events when a client books you. You can only have one primary calendar.
- Calendars to check for conflicts: These are additional calendars TidyCal will read to see if you are busy. TidyCal will not add new events to these calendars; it only uses them to block off your availability.
Example: Your primary calendar is "Work," and you add your "Personal" calendar to check for conflicts. If you have a dentist appointment on your Personal calendar, TidyCal will see you are busy and will not offer that time to clients. When a client books a work meeting, the event will be created only on your "Work" calendar.
How to Add More Calendars
- First, ensure you are on the Pro or Agency plan.
- From your TidyCal Dashboard, go to Settings and then to the Integrations tab.
- Under the Calendars section, you will see your primary connected calendar.
- Connect with a new Google/Microsoft/Apple calendar by clicking the according button.
- A list of all calendars associated with your connected Google or Microsoft account will appear.
- Check the box next to each calendar you want TidyCal to monitor for busy events.
- Click Save Changes.
TidyCal will now look at events across all your selected calendars to give a true, complete picture of your availability.
