How do time zones work in TidyCal?
TidyCal automatically handles time zone conversions so clients always see available times in their own local time zone. Your account timezone is set in Settings and affects how times are displayed to you.
Setting your timezone
- In the sidebar, go to Settings > Preferences.
- Find the Timezone dropdown. It is a searchable dropdown - type to find your timezone quickly.
- Select your timezone.
- Click Save changes.
How timezone conversion works
- Your availability is set in your timezone.
- When a client visits your booking page, TidyCal detects their timezone and shows available times converted to their local time.
- Calendar events are created with the correct timezone for both you and the client.
- Email confirmations show times in each person's local timezone.
Time format
In Settings > Preferences, you can choose between:
- 12 hour format (e.g., 2:30 PM)
- 24 hour format (e.g., 14:30)
A live preview shows the current time in your selected format.
Troubleshooting
Clients seeing wrong times
- Verify your timezone is set correctly in Settings > Preferences.
- Ask the client to check their browser's timezone settings.
- Contact support@tidycal.com if times appear incorrect.
