Connect TidyCal to Your Favorite Tools
TidyCal's Automations section lets you extend your scheduling workflow by connecting with external services. Access powerful integrations including Zapier workflows, SendFox email marketing, and direct API access for custom applications.
Find the Automations page at ⚙️ (hamburger menu) → Integrations → Automations.
What's Available in Automations
Zapier Integration
What it does: Connect TidyCal with 5,000+ apps to create automated workflows.
Plan requirement: Individual Plan or Agency Plan
Common use cases:
- Add new bookings to Google Sheets or Airtable
- Send Slack notifications when bookings are created
- Create CRM contacts automatically (HubSpot, Salesforce)
- Trigger email sequences in your email platform
- Log bookings to project management tools (Asana, Monday.com)
How to connect:
- Go to ⚙️ → Integrations → Automations
- Under the Automations heading, click Connect with Zapier
- Sign in to your Zapier account (or create one)
- Choose TidyCal triggers (Booking Created, Booking Updated, Booking Cancelled)
- Select your destination app and configure the automation

SendFox Email Marketing
What it does: Automatically add booking attendees to your SendFox email lists.
Plan requirement: Available on all plans (Free, Individual, Agency)
Perfect for:
- Building an email list from consultation bookings
- Nurturing leads after discovery calls
- Following up with clients after service appointments
- Sending post-event surveys and feedback requests
How to set up:
- Go to ⚙️ → Integrations → Automations
- Scroll to the Email Marketing section
- Click Connect SendFox account
- Authorize TidyCal to access your SendFox lists
- Select which SendFox list should receive new attendees
- Click Save
Once connected, every person who books an appointment will be automatically added to your selected SendFox list.
TidyCal API
What it does: Build custom integrations and connect TidyCal with your own applications.
Plan requirement: Individual Plan or Agency Plan
Developer use cases:
- Embed booking functionality in custom applications
- Create bookings programmatically from your website
- Retrieve booking data for custom reporting dashboards
- Sync TidyCal data with proprietary business systems
- Build mobile apps with TidyCal scheduling
How to get API access:
- Go to ⚙️ → Integrations → Automations
- Scroll to the API section
- Click Manage API Keys
- Generate a new API key for your application
- Use the API key in your application's authentication headers

Troubleshooting
Zapier isn't triggering my automation
- Verify your TidyCal account is connected in Zapier settings
- Check that your Zap is turned ON (not paused)
- Test the trigger with a sample booking
- Review Zapier's task history for error messages
SendFox contacts aren't being added
- Confirm SendFox connection is active in Integrations → Automations
- Verify you've selected a SendFox list from the dropdown
- Check that the booker's email is valid
- Note: Contacts are added after the booking is confirmed, not when created
API requests are failing
- Ensure your API key is included in the Authorization header
- Check that your plan includes API access (Individual or Agency)
- Verify the API endpoint URL is correct
- Review the API documentation for request format
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use multiple Zapier accounts with TidyCal?
Yes, you can connect TidyCal to multiple Zapier accounts by authorizing each one separately through the Zapier connection flow.
Does SendFox integration work with other email platforms?
The direct integration only works with SendFox. For other email platforms (Mailchimp, ConvertKit, etc.), use Zapier to connect TidyCal with those services.
Is there a limit on API requests?
API rate limits are in place to ensure system stability. Check the API documentation for current limits and best practices.
Can I disconnect integrations later?
Yes, you can disconnect any integration at any time from the Automations page without affecting your existing bookings or data.
